Accessibility

How accessible this website is and where its limits are.

Zellhofer Engineering GmbH wants everyone to be able to use this website, regardless of impairments and the technology they use. This statement describes how far we have achieved this and where there are still limits.

Voluntary statement

This website does not offer services within the meaning of the Austrian Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz, BaFG), in particular no electronic commerce with consumers. It is therefore not subject to the accessibility obligation. We have nevertheless checked and implemented the requirements as far as possible and publish this statement voluntarily.

Scope

This statement applies to all pages of this website in the German and the English version.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA. The automated check of all pages found no violations. Because an automated check can only cover part of the requirements and no full audit by an external body has taken place, we deliberately rate the status conservatively.

What we have implemented

  • All content images have descriptive text alternatives, in German and in English.
  • Every page has a single main heading and a logical structure of subheadings.
  • The language of every page is declared so that screen readers pronounce it correctly.
  • Text meets the required contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1.
  • The menu, image galleries and the enlarged image view can be operated with the keyboard. The menu manages focus, and Escape closes it again.
  • Buttons without visible text, such as arrows and the back-to-top button, are labelled for screen readers.
  • Touch targets are at least 24 by 24 pixels.
  • If you have chosen reduced motion in your system settings, you will not see fade-in or sliding animations.
  • The fields of the contact form are labelled, and required fields are marked.
  • The content adapts down to a width of 320 pixels without horizontal scrolling. This corresponds to zooming to 400 percent.

Known limitations

  • Technical drawings and cross-sections of the Solarpellet plant have short text alternatives. There is no complete text description of all components. On request, we are happy to explain the plant in person.
  • We do not offer a version in easy-to-read language or content in sign language.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 24 September 2026. It is based on a self-assessment: an automated check of all pages with axe-core against WCAG 2.2 levels A and AA, and a manual spot check, including keyboard operation and display on different screen sizes.
